By implementing technology into our classrooms, we will be able to better engage our students and help get them 21st century ready! Knowing how to use technologicial devices will help students in their future careers. Also, technology is ever changing, so by implementing technology into our classrooms will help prepare our students for an ever changing world.

This year, to help get my students engaged and excited about learning by being able to use technology and make their work come to life, I will be using augmented reality in my lessons.

Augmented reality is something that makes objects become life-like. To do this, we will be using an app from our smartphones or ipads. The app allows you to take a picture of an object and create a video. Once you have done that, then you will link your video to your picture using the app. So, when you hover your iphone/ipad over the object, the object will seem to come to life! Here is a quick video explaining what aurasma is and how I will be using augmented reality in my lessons.
